Just a 5-minute walk from Villa Sunnyside Barbados, you’ll find the exclusive Sunset Crest Beach Club, a private members club for Sunset Crest residents in Holetown.

How to access the Sunset Crest beach club

There are two entrances, one is accessed directly from the main road next to Paul Owens restaurant, and the other one directly opens up to the beach. You’ll need a keycard for access, we provide a keycard for all guests.

What are the Sunset Crest Beach Club opening times?

The beach house is open between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Can you get a day pass for Sunset Crest Beach Club?

While the beach club once offered day passes to the public, this is no longer the case. Today, access is restricted to guests renting villas within Sunset Crest that are part of the Sunset Crest Property Owners Club.

To enjoy the facilities at the Beach Club, you must stay in a villa whose owner is an active member of the Property Owners Club, meaning they’ve kept up with their subscription. Each member villa is provided with two electronic fobs, which are your tickets to the beach house. Each fob allows entry for two adults and two children.

What amenities are at the Sunset Crest beach club?

Once inside, you’re able to use the spacious sunset crest beach house pool or one of the loungers.

The beach house provides well-maintained changing rooms and toilets, plus there are 2 outdoor showers for when you step straight off the beach.

The bar next door is part of Paul Owens restaurant, they will serve poolside drinks and you can dine in the restaurant or stroll down the beach to one of the other restaurants on offer.

What beaches are next to the Sunset Crest beach club?

  1. Holetown Beach: Located to the right of the Beach House a short walk down the boardwalk, Holetown Beach boasts expansive golden sands and calm waters. The shoreline is dotted with a vibrant selection of restaurants and bars, including a sports bar and our favourite place to eat – Zaccios.
  2. Looking to Snorkel: Head to the left and go all the way around the corner to discover a contrasting beach for snorkelling. This beach is more rugged with its rocky coral formations, making it ideal for snorkelling. The underwater world here offers load of variety of fish, I’ve seen octopuses, turtles and flying fish here.

Who runs the Sunset Crest beach house?

The Sunset Crest Beach House is managed by the Sunset Crest Property Owners Inc. (SCPO). SCPO was incorporated on January 28, 1994 and is a non-profit entity.

Should you have any inquiries or need assistance related to the Beach House they have an office on-site open 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Sunset Crest beach club rules

  • Children under 12: Young swimmers should be accompanied by an adult.
  • Lifeguard: Please be informed that there is no lifeguard on duty, so always swim responsibly.
  • Lounge Chair Courtesy: If you’re stepping away for over 45 minutes, kindly free up your lounge chair for fellow members. After enjoying the sun, remember to cover the lounge chairs – it’s a small act of consideration that goes a long way.
